Vom Aztlan Rottweilers is located in the City of Whittier in Los Angeles County, 12 miles southeast of the City of Los Angeles, California.
vom Aztlan Rottweilers is committed to the complete show and working Rottweiler that shines in the dogs we produce, our on-going involvement in a multitude of dog sports, and the unique relationships we build with our puppy buyers.
Ruben's beliefs in breeding and training working Rottweilers have played a pivotal role in challenging other breeders, trainers and competitors alike to "raise the bar". Their influence can be seen throughout the US. The vom Aztlan credo takes a working Rottweiler from the confines of one single sport to the fun and excitement of "cross training". Not only does this serve as an evaluation tool for their breeding stock more often that not, it showcases their talents as trainers and handlers.
The vom Aztlan dogs are truly well-rounded without sacrificing any of the extreme drive and working ability the best Rottweilers are known for. As you explore our site, keep your eyes peeled for the many multi-titled dogs!
At vom Aztlan our passion and devotion is for Rottweilers. Breeding for us is an enjoyable experience and hobby that only drives us to strive for perfection. We breed for our next generations and ourselves. We invest all we can into our dogs to make sure they receive the fullest amount in care, consideration and have the ability to grow appropriately. Love for our Rottweilers ensures that the proper time, love, and care is given to produce the finest dogs possible. Our rottweilers are bred in-house and selected specifically to ensure that they meet yours and our standards for temperament, character, and working ability.
Raider von Massey
Owner: Ruben & Melissa Piña
Feb. 20, 1992 ~ Aug. 10, 2001
Raider is my families very first Rottweiler that we purchased from a local breeder in May of 1992. We were very fortunate to have him for almost 10 years. Raider was a very affectionate Rottweiler that just loved being around people and adored kids. Raider exceled and had tremendous energy, he was always first and foremost the most loyal family dog. May Godspeed Raider, We Miss You.

At vom Aztlan we breed type to type vs. trying to make type. Every generation only improves, and surpasses our ideal of a perfect animal. Our dogs have dominant faces filled with power and strength. They are fit and muscular, with extreme cheekbone. Their features consist of short muzzles, powerful hind quarters, extreme fill under the eyes, and powerful necks and shoulders. Their faces are large with full and defined features; overall beautiful dogs. If there beauty and top pedigree style was not enough, they are also German trained and titled. Most of our females are breed in Germany and whelped here in the US..
We are extremely proud that we follow strict ADRK German standards and breed only fully titled dogs that posses Ztp/BST (Breed Suitability Test) and Schutzhund titles. This all-encompassing test has been used in Germany for decades and is considered the most important real test in the young Rottweiler's life. In Germany, a Rottweiler that has not passed this test may not ever be used for breeding!
For those new to the breed, we would like to offer a couple words. Please be aware that many breeders will tell you that European Rottweilers or European bloodlines are the same or equal to German bred Rottweilers. This is not correct. Only German born dogs have been bred by the strictest standards in the world. Most European countries do not have required breeding standards. Even though there are some very nice looking dogs in all countries none are in comparison or as complete in all aspects including working drives as a German bred Rottweiler. In addition, beware of breeders in the US who tell you they breed German Rottweilers. Most do not - they breed European and/or American lines with a few German dogs scattered in the pedigree. The importance of a dogs pedigree cannot be stressed enough.
Finally, when looking for a Rottweiler, please seek out a Code of Ethics breeder and make sure that BOTH parents have a ZtP/BST. The Ztp/BST is VERY important to the Rottweiler community as it requires that dogs being breed are truly worthy of the opportunity.
